Inmate bail information and court dates
Inmate booking sheets listing charges, bail and court dates can be
downloaded and printed by looking up your inmates booking record
HERE.. Bail may be posted by
paying the entire amount in cash, by certified check or money order
-made out to the court of jurisdiction. You may also post bail
through a bail bond company. Out of county bail may be posted in the
same manner. Please check your Yellow pages for a suitable bail
agent.
Inmate release information:
The booking process can take several hours depending on the workload
in booking. Persons who have been arrested and are intoxicated by
drugs or alcohol will remain in custody and will not be released
until such time that they are sober. This can take up to 12 hrs or
more. Inmates who have been released by the court will be released
from jail as soon as possible after returning from court.
Information relating to the transportation of inmates to state
prison or any other institution will not be released.
Property releases or deposits on inmate accounts
Money may be sent to an inmate in the form of certified check or
money order payable to the inmate. DO NOT SEND CASH! Money orders or
cashiers checks must have the inmates booking number on its face.
Booking numbers may be obtained by looking up your inmate’s
information HERE OR you may obtain it when you bring the
money order to the jail. Money orders or cashiers checks may be
brought to the jail reception to deposit on an inmates account
Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00AM and 3:30 PM. Money
may be deposited on the weekend during normal visiting hours.
Mail and telephone information:
The mailing address for the Lake County Jail is 4913 Helbush Drive,
Lakeport, CA 95453. Mail containing Polaroid photographs, photos
larger than the normal 8X10, pornographic material, envelopes,
stamps and stickers will not be accepted. Books, newspapers or
magazines must be mailed directly from the publisher. Only soft
cover books are accepted into the facility. All mail must be mailed
thru the US Postal service. No mail will be forwarded to inmates
released from the facility. We do not take messages or pass messages
to inmates. Inmates generally have access to telephones between the
hours of 8:00 AM to 11:30PM unless they are locked down. All
outgoing phone calls are made collect. If you have any questions
