Jail Information - Rules for Visiting

If your inmate has
disciplinary action in effect resulting in the LOSS OF VISITING-it
is the inmates responsibility to notify you! If you arrive to
visit an inmate who has lost their visiting privileges you WILL NOT
be allowed to visit!
It is the responsibility of all visitors to know, understand, and obey all the jail rules.

Housing units H and I are allowed a total of three (3) visitors. Children four (4) years of age and older are counted as a visitor. Children under the age of four (4) years will not be counted as a visitor and must be held on the lap of an adult and be under control at all times. Visits for this housing unit are contact (hand holding only).

Housing units A-G are allowed two (2) visitors. Children four (4) years of age and older are counted as a visitor. Children under the age of four (4) years will not be counted as a visitor and must be held on the lap of an adult and be under control at all times. Visits for these housing units are non-contact (through glass).

Housing Unit B visitors must call at least 24 hours in advance (707-262-4240) to reserve a time for visiting. Visits for this housing unit are non-contact (through glass).

Split Visits will NOT be permitted for medium and maximum-security inmates (housing units A-G). Split visits for minimum-security inmates (housing units H and I) will be at the discretion of the Correctional Officer supervising visiting.

Minors - Visitors under the age of 18 will be permitted to visit only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Minor children are to be supervised and controlled at all times.

Registration/Identification - All visitors must register at the reception desk prior to entering any visiting room. Visitors may not sign in for anyone other than themselves, and all adult visitors MUST provide a valid, U. S. government-issued picture identification (i.e. driver’s license, government I.D. card, military I.D. etc.), when registering. Temporary permits, expired driver licenses, cash checking cards, credit cards, etc., are not acceptable as means of identification.

Behavior - Visitors and inmates will conduct themselves appropriately at all times, or the visit will be terminated. Any visitor who is intoxicated or acting up will not be permitted to visit, and any visitor who brings or attempts to bring any item of contraband into the jail will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Dress Code - All visitors are to conform to a dress code; this includes wearing shoes, shirt, and undergarments. Any attire that exposes the body to the degree that it violates appropriate dress for a public facility will not be permitted. The visiting staff will determine what is appropriate visiting dress. The staff's decisions are final. Visitors who are refused a visit will have the opportunity to leave the facility in order to change clothing and return for a later visit. Additional guidelines include but are not limited to: no short shorts or short skirts (no shorter than two (2) inches above the knee), skirts with high slits, tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, other tops which allow cleavage to show, bare midriffs, see-through clothing, coats, jackets, hooded sweatshirts, or hooded exercise jackets, hats or headwear of any kind (with the exception of religious custom, as demonstrated in a valid photo I.D.). Persons wearing clothing that refer to gang affiliation, display sexual or lewd comments/pictures, or have the potential for being offensive to others will be refused a visit.

Visiting Room - if you leave the visiting room for any reason, during your visit, your visit will be considered terminated

Personal Items - Visitors cannot take anything into the visiting room with them except for car keys. Handbags, coats, backpacks, hats, cameras, cell phones, sunglasses and electronic devices, etc., may be secured in a locker in the reception area (use at your own risk) or left in the car.

Inmate Funds - All money for inmates must be in the form of a money order or cashier’s check. You can either mail the money orders in or hand it in at the reception desk between 8:00 – 3:30 Monday through Friday or during regular visiting hours.

Persons on Active Parole/Probation - it is a felony for a parolee/probationer to be on the grounds of any jail for any reason without the prior written approval of the Facility Commander. Persons discharged from parole must provide proof of discharge along with the Facility Commanders written permission to visit.
