Hazardous Waste

When disposed of in the trash or poured down a sink or storm drain, the toxic chemical components in products like paint, turpentine, acid or lye-based cleaners, household and car batteries, pesticides, and herbicides will damage the environment.

These items end up in Clear Lake or other waterways endangering the health of all - children, wildlife, pets, and the environment.

Most items are accepted free. Businesses must make an appointment by calling 234-6400 and a small fee will apply. Dates, locations, and times are available on the schedule page (PDF).
