HOW TO CLEAR YOUR RECORD & EXPUNGEMENTS
Did you know that a private employer cannot ask a job applicant about any misdemeanor conviction that was expunged under Penal Code Section 1203.4?
Clearing your criminal record is an important step in ending your involvement in your criminal case. At the Public Defender’s Office, we are here to help you. There are certain rules and procedures to follow, and we can help you through the process.
You can get your case expunged:
If Probation Granted:
- You successfully completed all the terms and conditions of your sentence. You have a right to have your expungement granted.
If Probation was NOT Granted:
- You can still petition the court to grant your expungement.
We can also help you with reducing your case from a Felony to Misdemeanor, Certificates of Rehabilitation, and Governor Pardons.
